Brazilian Network of Science Journalists, RBJS

It was an honour to be a founding member of the Brazilian Network of Science Journalists, in 2019, alongside many talented and hard-working colleagues. As its first Director of International Relations, my primary task was to integrate our newly created organization within the framework of the World Federation of Science Journalists, which was granted consultative status with the United Nations.

Our main goal was to improve the quality of science communication across the continent. We did it mainly through networking and capacity building. I'm happy to see that the organization continues to be an influential actor within science communication circles in Latin America and beyond.
